Trên con đường lớn vào rừng quốc gia Cúc Phương, tỉnh Ninh Bình,
xuôi theo dòng sông Nho Quan không chỉ có khu bảo tồn thiên nhiên

trâu, mà còn có một công trình kiến trúc độc đáo được dựng nên hoàn
toàn bằng bàn tay của những người tu hành - đó là Tòa Thánh đường

Theo Kỷ yếu của Đan viện, ngôi Thánh đường theo dòng Khổ Tu này được
xây dựng vào năm 1939, cung hiến năm 1945 bởi sự khấn nguyện và tiền
cúng của cha Phêrô Trần Đức Trưởng. Hiện tại có tấm bia khắc ngay
dưới chân nhà thờ ghi nhận ca ngợi công đức của cha Phêrô.</span></p>

Thánh đường Đan viện Châu Sơn là một trong những điểm đến ít người
biết tới bởi ngôi thánh đường này nằm ẩn sâu sau trục đường chính,
trong một khoảng không gian hữu tình có núi, có sông, có hồ và có
rất nhiều cây cối bao quanh. </span></p>

Khởi công xây dựng tháng 2-1939, mặc dù không hề có bản vẽ thiết kế
trên giấy, mà hoàn toàn dựa vào sự nghiên cứu, hướng dẫn của Linh
mục Placiđô Trương Minh Trạch - là chủng sinh của Đại Chủng viện Sài
Gòn ra đây thành lập Đan viện; cũng không có các phương tiện hiện
đại, xi măng cốt thép, chỉ có giàn giáo và bàn tay vài chục thày trò
và thợ địa phương, công trình kéo dài đến cuối năm 1945 mới hoàn
tất, song lập tức nổi bật giữa vùng núi non heo hút. “Vỏ bọc” Tòa
Thánh đường toàn bằng gạch tự nung, không trát, độc đáo ở chỗ hơn 6
thập kỷ trôi qua không hề bị rêu phong, vẫn mộc mạc một màu đỏ son
giống như công trình Nhà thờ lớn ở Sài Gòn.</span></p>

cây Olive, theo như lời giới thiệu của Đức tổng Giuse Ngô Quang Kiệt
thì sáu gốc cây này được đích thân Ngài nhờ người đưa trực tiếp từ
Mỹ về, để sau khi lớn lên sẽ đặt vào Vườn Fatima. Và vì khí hậu nơi
cây sồi và cây Olive phát triển rất giống với khí hậu Việt Nam nên
khi đem về Đan Viện thì chỉ trong thời gian ngắn chúng đã phát triển

trèo lên 299 bậc cầu thang và dọc đường có rất nhiều thánh giá. Ở
