dịp đặc biệt với phụ nữ độc thân ở Cộng hòa Czech. Họ sẽ đứng quay lưng
về phía cổng nhà, ném giày qua vai. Nếu giày quay mũi vào cửa, họ tin
rằng năm tới họ sẽ tìm được người bạn đời. Nếu giày quay gót vào cửa, họ
sẽ vẫn tiếp tục sống cô đơn.</font></p>

Gavle, Thụy Điển, có phong tục kỳ lạ. Đ ể chào đón Giáng sinh, họ sẽ
dựng một con dê bằng rơm khổng lồ, một biểu tượng Giáng sinh của người
Scandinavia từ nhiều thế kỷ qua. Sau khi đêm Noel kết thúc, họ sẽ đốt
con dê này để ăn mừng.</font></p>

niệm rằng vào dịp Giáng Sinh, phù thủy và ác quỷ sẽ dùng chổi để bay
lượn. Vì vậy, vào ngày này, để tránh điềm xấu những người phụ nữ thường
giấu hết chổi trong nhà còn người đàn ông thì ra ngoài cửa và bắn súng
săn để xua tà ma ra khỏi nhà.</font></p>

dịp Giáng sinh, người Tây Ban Nha và Bồ Đào Nha lại mua tượng Caganer,
bức tượng có hình một ông già đội mũ đỏ đang đi đại tiện. Sau đó, họ để
những bức tượng đã được nhét tiền vào trong máng ăn của vật nuôi để trẻ
em đi tìm kiếm. Caganer là những bức tượng đại diện cho sự giàu có và
quyền bình đẳng của người dân tại nơi đây.</font></p>

Greenland có phong tục kỳ lạ là ăn loài chim Auk bị phân hủy vào ngày
Giáng sinh. Những con chim Auk chết sẽ được gói trong bộ da chó biển,
chôn dưới lớp đá vài tháng trước Giáng sinh. Đến dịp Noel, người dân đào
lên, bỏ hết phần thịt phân hủy bên trong và chỉ ăn da của chúng.</font></p>
