Canada đã khiến không ít người phải ngạc nhiên về cách vẽ tranh độc đáo
của mình - đó là vẽ tranh bằng… lửa và bồ hóng. Đây thực sự là một loại
hình nghệ thuật mới mẻ và sáng tạo mà trước đó chưa có ai làm.</font></span></p>

Steven Spazuk vẽ tranh bằng lửa và bồ hóng đã được hơn 10 năm. Ông dùng
nến hoặc đuốc đốt cháy rồi lấy những mẩu giấy dày hơ lên ngọn lửa để
những mẩu giấy này được phủ một lớp bồ hóng. Sau đó ông dùng nhiều dụng
cụ vẽ khác nhau để vẽ trực tiếp lên lớp bồ hóng mới được bôi đen.</font></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" align="justify"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt">
<font face="Arial">Spazuk cho biết, ông thường vẽ tách rời từng mảnh,
sau đó ghép các mảnh riêng biệt đó lại với nhau để tạo thành một tác
phẩm hoàn chỉnh. Những tác phẩm của ông hầu hết đều mô phỏng khuôn mặt
hoặc cơ thể con người vì đây là những bộ phận chứa đựng nhiều sắc thái
cảm xúc.</font></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" align="justify"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt">
<font face="Arial">Spazuk cũng cho biết thêm, ông đã vẽ tranh bằng niềm
đam mê thực sự khi ông còn là một đứa trẻ, ông đã được bố mẹ và nhiều
người xung quanh hưởng ứng và khuyến khích. Đó là yếu tố cần thiết nhất
cho sự nghiệp của ông sau này. Spazuk là họa sĩ làm việc có nguyên tắc
cẩn thận cũng như tìm tòi và rất sáng tạo. Trước khi đến với nghệ thuật
vẽ tranh bằng lửa và bồ hóng, ông cũng chỉ là một họa sĩ vẽ tranh bình
thường. </font></span></p>

<font face="Arial">Hiện nay ông làm việc trong một xưởng vẽ chuyên
nghiệp bằng bồ hóng. Ông đã cho ra đời nhiều bức tranh độc đáo và một
điều đặc biệt ở những tác phẩm của ông là tranh đơn sắc.</font></span></p>
